Philosophy of Learning

Children deserve to have the opportunity to learn, even if their learning styles and needs differ from the norm. At James Cameron School we believe in giving students the tools they need for a lifetime of learning.

At James Cameron School, we address the educational, social, and emotional needs of children who have severe learning disabilities. The school serves its pupils' individual needs, and encourages the academic and social development of each and every pupil, thereby enhancing the growth of confidence and the development of skills in all.

Each student is encouraged to recognize, and then realize his/her unique potential, and to learn to accept himself/herself, as well as others.
