Board of Directors

James Cameron School is operated by the Fraser Valley Society for Children with Learning Disabilities.  The members of this society are parents of students currently enrolled at James Cameron School.  The society meets two times per year,  in June and in October.

The 5 members of the Board of Directors are elected by the membership of the society.  They are usually parents of current and of former JCS students.

The Board of Directors meets on the last Wednesday of every month with the exceptions of December and July.

FACULTY AND STAFF

All members of the faculty of James Cameron School focus on providing the very best possible learning experience for students of JCS. Each JCS student comes with his or her own set of strengths and needs, and our talented, well-trained staff works together as a team to develop each student’s unique set of talents while remediating in areas of difficulty and teaching necessary coping skills, ensuring that every students experiences success and gains the essential social, emotional and academic skills to ensure success in the future.

All members of the James Cameron School teaching staff possess BC Teacher Certification; all tutoring and aide staff members at James Cameron School are certified by the Canadian Academy of Therapeutic Tutors (Orton-Gillingham).
